Oddvar Vermedal joins CoOper8 as Chief Information Officer

We are very pleased to welcome Oddvar Vermedal to the CoOper8 team.

With more than 40 years of experience in IT, primarily within the oil and gas sector, Oddvar brings a depth of knowledge and leadership that is truly exceptional. He has held a number of senior roles at Equinor, including VP for Value Chain IT in the Global Business Center, VP for Value Chain in Corporate IT, VP for Emerging Digital Technology in the Digital Center of Excellence, and Manager for Subsurface IT. Across these roles, he has led several large-scale IT initiatives with significant impact across the value chain.

Earlier in his career, Oddvar worked as an IT Auditor at EY and as a system architect and developer at Rogalandsdata and Allianse—building a solid foundation that clearly reflects in his leadership today.
Oddvar holds BSc degrees in IT and Auditing from the University of Stavanger.
